Help with interpreting blood test results. What's the next step?

My god-daughter has just received more blood test results, some of which are in the photo attached. She previously had low B12 (for which she is now receiving loading injections), and also low serum folate, low iron, low transferrin saturation, and tested positive for Hashimoto's and Lactate Dehydrogenase deficiency. She is suffering severely.

Apart from the item marked with an exclamation mark on the photographed test results shown here, her Mean Corpus Hemoglobin looks to be low. Other results from the same blood tests showed a Serum C reactive protein level of 12.2 umol/L (normal range 12.5 - 25), and Serum ALT level of 9 U/L (normal range 10 - 49.)

The results seem to suggest malnourishment (despite a good diet) and borderline anaemia. What's the next medical step? Should we be asking for a referral?

Many thanks again for your help!

This is an article of hypochromia

suggests that your daughter is possibly developing iron anaemia.

probably time to look into possible absorption problems such as PA, coeliacs, SIBO.

Unfortunately it can take time for B12 treatment to kick in - and sometimes that is because it is being undertreated. If she's just starting out on thyroid then that is also potentially going to take a long time to get to the right does as an absorption problem will mean that she probably needs higher doses of levo
