I have seen lots of info on food to consume that contains B12 but is there food, beverages or anything else that stops or slows down B12 working.

Alcohol affects all the other B vitamins that B12 needs to work efficiently.
This is what a hangover is.
Also nitrous oxide (laughting gas) / (gas & air pain therapy during the delivery of a baby) is toxic to B12.

A hangover has nothing to do with B12 but is simple dehydration.
The amount of nitrous oxide in the most polluted air is far too low to cause a B12 problem.
taking acid inhibitors / blockers are a big problem. Being on a vegan diet. In nature B12 only comes from Animal products like meat, eggs, milk, butter.
