In case this is of interest . I have received an answer to my email from mycare.de in English ( a German online pharmacy ) They do send B12 Hydroxocobalamin ampoules to USA , unlike versandapo.de and Amazon.de .But I have a feeling that the shipping charges are high .
For members in USA : In case this is of... - Pernicious Anaemi...
For members in USA
Alive Plus Pharmacy mails to the US with flat shipping of $9.95. Three ampules are $18.95 New Zealand Dollars.
Thanks for that . Every bit of information is welcome .
re: shipping charges
mycare.de's system system quoted €33.61 for international delivery of "B12 DEPOT ROTEXMEDICA, 100X1 ml".
€49.29 for B12 + €33.61 for delivery = €82.90. $95.80 at today's exchange rates.
Those shipping prices are just outrageous. I have found other suppliers to USA. Which you could look into . VitaminQuick.com -They are in the USA , but only supply Methylcobalamin. Vitaminb12online.com supply Cynocobalamin Hydroxocobalamin and Methylcobalamin. They are in Australia and seem to supply cobalamin made in Vietnam under license from an Italian company . The above suppliers include shipping to USA in their prices . Don’t know if they work out cheaper than mycare,de
Sandoz b12 (Cynocobalamin) supply to USA .
I looked at many places last night, and ended up at goldpharma.cn, buying 100 ampoules of B 12 Depot-Rotexmedica hydroxocobalamin.
$75 for B12 + $8 for shipping = $83 total.
So, $0.83 per dose, not including syringes. Syringes and needles are restricted in the US. I have bought them at pharmacies before, but it is a hassle (pharmacists are reluctant to sell them), and expensive ($1/syringe). If I find a good workaround, I'll post it here.
I called my local Costco store, and they sell "B12 syringes" for $0.25 each! That was easier than I thought. I could have bought my B12 with a prescription at Costco too, but they only have cyanocobalamin, and I want hydroxo or methylB12.
Altogether, my shots will cost $1.08 each for 1mg hydroxoB12, or $5.40 per 5mg. My dr charges $35 for 5mg methylB12 injections. If the hydroxo works as well as the methyl, I'll save $29.60 per 5mg of B12. Plus I won't have to drive to his office.
I think can pick up a sharps container at Costco, too, for a few dollars.
I believe that you will find Hydroxocobalamin just as good as Methylcobalamin. I tried both and I didn’t find that Methylcobalamin was better than Hydroxocobalamin. Also Hydroxo is more stable than Methyl and has a much longer use-by date . All the best .
Thanks for that info . Good that you let people know . Didn’t know that Goldpharma operated in Canada . Rotexmedica depot B12 are excellent . I’ve used them for years . They are made in Germany . Although in the UK we can’t buy B12 ampoules OTC , needles and syringes are easily obtainable from medical supply companies e.g.— Medisave.co.uk . Best of luck with it all . Really glad to hear that you suceeded in finding what you needed . Your information will be useful for members in USA .
Very best wishes .
Put out a new post so members in USA can find out where to get Hydroxocobalamin ampoules in Canada . That’s really useful for them to know . This is an old posting , so will not be seen so readily . . You have done really well to find goldpharma.cn I have purchased from them in Germany in the past .
