Vertigo After stopping Supplements
Have you thought to get your ears checked as an infection may lead to loss of balance?
I have done with my CT Scan doctor said no vertigo has found and consulted an ENT he suggested me to use vestibular migraine tablets as he found the symptoms.but the vertigo has find when i come to know i was low at B12.
I have high haemoglobin which is 17.8 is that the cause ?
I'm sorry I don't know - you need to speak to your doctor or a haematologist.
I have booked for a blood test and will be consulting doctor.thanks for your support.
I was having SEVERE vertigo and off balance way before I ever found out I had PA. On top of that, chronic iron deficiency which is all because of malabsorption issues. When I slack off the b12, I wake up very lightheaded and stumbly, as if I could have vertigo any minute. I highly advise you stay on the supplements and/or injections. If you’re STILL having vertigo after staying on them a while, then do get it checked out. But unfortunately, vertigo is definitely a symptom of b12 Anemia.
i got checked last 3 times i had always 700+ b12 and iam using supplements from last 3 months.iam diagonised with b12 210.is it migraine or because of b12 only?
How long you suffered from this kind of symptoms?how long you are on supplements and what is your b12 now?
I had vertigo and tons of other symptoms over the past 10 years but only recently diagnosed last year but they overlooked my b12 Anemia and it wasn’t until I saw my paperwork a month ago that I found out & brought to attention that I have PA. This was a hematologist that completely misdiagnosed me with only iron deficiency. I’ve been on b12 now for over a month and many symptoms are leaving. Vertigo completely gone. I won’t have my levels checked until another 3 month but I have a long recovery ahead of me.
I'm fairly new to all this but even so, I would say 700+ pg/ml isn't that high and it could be that your dose of B12 is too low. Wish you good luck in finding a solution.
The normal levels vary according to laboratory and country. I'm in France and the range from my lab is 187 - 883 pg/ml (138 - 651 pmol/l) but in Japan they're 500 – 1300 Pmol.
