Third Time Lucky with Gastroenterologists !

Went to a gastroenterology appointment yesterday. Tests promised !

This is very positive news as the last 2 did nothing and decided I had IBS.

Can anyone tell me what these blood tests are ? CRP and GGT .

Thanks for that, Hidden - after 3 years of tests, you'd think I'd know all of them. Trying to stay hopeful, but having an awful day today- all the more disappointing for being a rare occurrence these days. Self injection has made a lot of difference, but I still get caught unawares by the odd blip.

This Gastroenterologist is going to do bowel examination again because it has been 2 years, and getting stomach examination which I haven't had before. Have had, on first visit, bloods taken for FBC, liver, renal, iron, vitamin D, HoloTC, serum folate, ferritin, Coeliac screen, bone profile, ESR and the 2 above. This seems quite thorough and I'm relieved that she listened and will investigate my case.

Anything else I should ask for, now I've got a good one ?
