I was lucky to be diagnosed with B12 deficiency quite quickly after seeing the doctor for my non-specific symptoms and having a blood test. I had two B12 injections two weeks apart and then 4 injections once a month. My B12 levels had actually gone down when I had a blood test after that. Then I had daily injections for a week followed by monthly injections for 2 months. I have one more of these to go and then wait a month for another blood test. I think my symptoms are returning around two weeks after each injection. What is the correct dose frequency or does it vary person to person?

the end of your post sums it up - serum levels can't really be used as the basis for treatment after loading doses and you need to go on symptoms.
Does sound as if your biggest problem though is that you are one of those individuals that actually removes B12 from your system very quickly given that the levels seem to drop very quickly.
Thank you. Good to know that the symptoms are the main thing to keep note of.
Any idea why my system might be removing B12 so quickly? I am almost certain that my next blood test is going to be lower than before. I feel like it's on a general downward trajectory with the injections just giving a temporary boost to the levels.
