I have only had these b12 injections for about 9 months and my hair keeps breaking and very hard to brush when washed. My hair has also become thinner and really dry. Also takes longer to dry. Very tired and feeling down still, working shift probably dont help. I also came out in spots under my skin. Anyone else have these symtoms please. Or any tips what can help will be much appricatated.

Hi Doxeytracy

What was your diagnosis - P.A. or B12 deficiency?

It is also important that your Folate level is monitored as this is essential to process the B12.

There is a complex interaction between folic acid, vitamin B12 and iron. A deficiency of one may be "masked" by excess of another so the three must always be in balance.

Symptoms of a folate deficiency can include:

symptoms related to anaemia

reduced sense of taste

diarrhoea

numbness and tingling in the feet and hands

muscle weakness

depression

Folic acid works closely with vitamin B12 in making red blood cells and helps iron function properly in the body.

Have you spoken with your doctor about how you are feeling?

I am not a medically trained person but there are others on here who will give you good advice.

Well that's good about your supplementing the folic acid Doxeytracy as that is needed to process the B12 and your low Vitamin D may have been the cause of one or other of your symptoms.

Hopefully you will soon see an improvement.

I wish you well.
