Question on injections

Hi. I've just read a newsfeed post where it sounds like folks are self injecting in muscle of thighs? My hemotologist and staff inject the B12 into subcutaneous fat in upper arm, thigh or stomach. When they trained me it was to inject in my thigh but in fatty tissue. Which is correct? I'm now confused.

IM is the method used in the UK. both IM and SC work and are used in other countries - there isn't really a lot to choose between the two methods - if I self inject I use SC because it is easier for me.

Thank you for clarifying that for me. I was worried I was doing it wrong!! I'm finding self injecting very easy to do so will continue with SC method I was taught.
