normally active B12 accounts for about 20% of the B12 in your blood - yours is much higher than that - this may indicate that you have a problem metabolising B12.
did you have MMA and homocysteine tests done? these will give a better guide to what might be going on at the cell level - though both can also be raised by other factors so they need to be done in a context that rules out other possibilities
On your previous post you mention level was 216 - would be useful to double check that the units were the same then - but in terms of difference, if it is the same units, it is probably in the noise level - basically the variation that can arise naturally when testing the same sample.
No I only had B12 and Active B12 done. The reason I had the test redo from a couple of months ago was because I was taking supplements then so I didn't feel it gave an accurate figure. I couldn't afford to get the exact same test as last time so just opted for B12 and B12 Active. The only problem is my GP will say I'm absolutely fine as he did when it was 216 so I don't know how to get additional tests without paying for them again. I'm due to have an endoscopy today would that show any reason why there could be a metabolising issue?
