Managed to self inject.

I actually plucked up the courage to self inject today.Broke 3 ampules wrongly so wasted serum as wasn't sure if still OK to use.Never felt injection so that,s all good. I've ordered an ampule snapper off Amazon hope it helps with breaking the m correctly.Has anyone tried them?

I use an ampoule snapper that I got from Amazon. Just the coloured plastic one for about £3. I like that it holds the ampoule whilst you draw up the contents, too.

Just make sure the white dot on the ampule is at the front then it will snap easily.

I use one of these - sepha.com/en/products/view/... - which can score the ampoule (I've noticed some brands don't snap easily). I have a few spare. PM me if you'd like one.

I use the syringe barrel i.e. the bit without the plunger in to snap mine off. Works a treat. Think that was a tip i got from YouTube

problem. for me is I have skinny one ml syringes so it wouldn't. Fit.

I would suggest using syringes with greater volume. I use 2.5ml and have used 3ml in the past. The greater the volume, the more control when injecting as a general rule. The more control can help with injecting slower which usually means less pain. I get my syringes etc from needle exchange so get to "pick and mix" what I need

I agree its difficult to get air bubbles out without losing some serum as there is no room for manoeuvre.I'm going to order some larger ones so I've got 98 wee syringes spare ha ha.

Margaretta1231am not sure which ampoules you are referring to mine come prepared they only need the needles attaching yeas ago they made all glass and one filed the top and snapped it off to draw up. I have also had them where they are inserted into a plunger all assembled the variations seem innumerable.Congratulations taking the plunge ,not as bad as you thought?

I snap with the thumb on the dot. It does get easier as long as you apply force on the dot. I am using the 2ml too. I realised for me at least the trick is slowly withdrawing the b12 and being mindful of the last bit in the bottom. Last night I heard it bubble and low and behold bubbles in the syringe...Flick flick flick for 10 mins lol.
