Can PA cause kidney/bladder problems?

Hi guys not sure if this is a symptom but i have started going to loo to pee up to 30 times a day, as soon as i drink it seems to want to come out i don't have an infection as had this checked but i do have bad kidney pain & wondered if having PA can cause such problems. I am having scans next friday to check liver, kidneys & ovaries.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

30 times a day? Yikes - thank goodness you have some helpful scans scheduled.

Is there anything useful to you in this thread and comments? healthunlocked.com/pasoc/po...

Hi,

B12 deficiency can affect the nervous system. I used to be up several times a night and I think my low B12 had affected the nerves controlling bladder function.

Have you had a test for Diabetes?

Having one auto-immune disease eg PA can increase the chance of developing others.

Pleased to hear you are getting scans soon.

Yes, bladder does not empty properly due to the nerve damage leaving the bladder weak.

I could not say why but priir to b13 i was constantly thirsty, drinking appox 16 glasses of water a day and using the bathroom entirely too often. Sometimes every 30 minutes. This reduced and is now normal after b12 injections. My blood glucose level was checked and it was fine.

B12 is needed by hypothalamus to produce tsh which effects the thyroid so maybe b12 is also needed by hypothalamus to produce the anti diuretic that is mentioned in one of the above links concerning hormones which effects the kidneys.

I never got kidney pain, but I was having frequent bladder infections. The loss of muscle control due to the nerve damage making them weak causes the bladder not to empty completely as it should. That could be the reason you keep needing to go, maybe you are not emptying out. That could also cause kidney infections I guess.

I have a hard time peeing too and have had liver and kidney problems. My bladder at this moment also feels "bruised". I go to the toilet often but I do not believe my bladder is emptying entirely ever. I drink dandelion and liver detox tea often. It does help. When I don't I can feel it my liver/kidneys/bladder to a greater extent. I think my liver works slower or less effectively than the average liver. Blood tests have shown my liver to be healthy though. I suppose it's just another weird PA thing.

I have constant bladder infections. When my bladder aches, bloats, and cramps I immediately treat for bladder infection at home. Stevia sweetened cranberry juice, lots of vita c, echinacea and lavender chamomile teas. Caffeine and carbonated drinks make it worse, but I have toddlers and need my chocolate.

If i feel it in my kidneys I get antibiotics asap. I demand them because I know it's a kidney infection. The pee tests are not accurate if you've been drinking a lot of water, which for me is habit. I've had to make a kidney infection worse by not drinking water the day I went the doctor just to get an accurate test the day after an ER visit. The ER released me (I refused to let them poke around my crotch) because I tested negative for a bladder infection even though I insisted that's what it was. The pervert doctor insisted I had an std and needed to check. I don't have std's.
