Fissured Tongue treatment

Hello,

I just recently discovered that I have a fissured tongue, although I can not remember if it suddenly developed or I was born like this. ( I tried looking for childhood pictures, but found no luck)

I recently have been taking B12 supplements along with Probotics daily and have seen some improvement. By improvement, i mean I start seeing new papillae form inside the fissures in my tongue. Is this a sign that I was not born like this and possible will have a normal looking tongue? Has anyone seen this improvement when taking these supplements? And has anyone been able to treat a fissured tongue and see significant results?

Thanks
