Hi Valerie12 can you be a little more specific as "problems with their digestive system" may well have been the cause of P.A. in the first place.
What symptoms do you have?
Have you had gastric surgery, are you on antacids, proton pump inhibitors, antibiotics, etc. Do you have Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, gluten enteropathy (celiac disease), or any other disease that cause malabsorption of nutrients.
I'm not a medically trained person but have had P.A. for over 45 years and have permanent problems with my digestive system following gastric surgery at the age of 17 way back in 1959.
Hopefully there will be someone on here who can give you good advice
Hi,
I had IBS symptoms for several years but they disappeared when I got B12 and went gluten free.
Having one auto-immune condition (PA) can increase the chances of developing another.
Have you ever been tested for Coeliac disease? Thyroid disease?
A gluten free diet and daily spoonfuls of organic sauerkraut (the most effective probiotic I've tried) has alleviated all my long standing digestive problems. I find bone broth nourishing and contributes to a healthy gut too:

Others here have had similar relief with other fermented foods, e.g. kefir, kimchi, etc. or Symprove or the less expensive Bio-Kult.
