My b12 has been around the 1400 mark for the last three years.
Everything else in full blood test is great. Should I be worried and test further?

Do you supplement at all? If not then it would probably be a good idea to ask your doctor to look into things like liver and kidney function.
Are you symptomatic of B12 deficiency?

Hi
Thanks for the reply
I have never supplemented and I am vegan so if anything should be low !
Full blood test with liver etc is perfect
And funny thing is ai was telling my younger brother about it and he said not to worry he is about 1800
Maybe something heredetry?
Very interesting
there is a huge variation in whether people are healthy with levels of B12 in your blood which means that the normal range (which is a statistical average) isn't something that can really be applied back to individuals.
Glad that you feel more comfortable after talking to your brother.
Sounds like it is definitely nothing to worry about unless you start to feel symptoms of B12 deficiency (for some people high serum levels seem to kick of a reaction that stops B12 being transferred from blood to cells).
B12 is add to a lot of things these days - there is several days worth in a can of red bull for instance - so even being vegan doesn't mean that you aren't getting enough in your diet.
I am absolutely not a doctor, but if you are not injecting or taking high doses of supplements, has your doctor suggested any reason for a level of 1400?
