Don't know if this is accurate or will help but this is my experience.in May my b12 was 152 range. 150_1000. Ferritin +folate we're also suspect,i can't get to my print out results at the moment but did put them on here and thyroid uk .A second test taken 3_4 weeks later saw my results tripple and I had not receive any form of treatment the only thing different was that the week of the second test I took high dose vitamin c of 1000mg twice because of a long lasting viral infection . I don't know if my levels have stayed the same .or dropped because the doctors didn't find it strange and won't 're test. but my symptoms did improve from first to second test and remain good compared to what they where originally.

Hi

Once you find out what the problem is it's easy to fix.

Sometimes you need more supplements, sometimes it's a poor diet or mostly the is an absorbtion problem in the gut.

You can have a whole host of things investigated but the main ones to check are low hydrochloric acid( 0-4 range)

Low probiotics (0-4 again)

Bad bacteria i.e. Specific ones( 0-4 this one you want low) and also parasites and specific bugs.

Genova do the test- circa £200- no interpretation but you know where you are from the ranges. So ideally at the end you'd want 4 but not for the bacteria. They also used to suggest what antibiotics were best for your stomach.

Mainly absorbtion issues are( so similar to other conditions) tiredness weight loss and problems going to the toilet- too often usually but not always.

If they come back low for the first two you'd need betain hcl to build up the hydrochloric acid, a probiotic( keep changing as each are different) I'd also add in a poly enzyme forte to help digestion( bio care).

If there are bad bacteria you can use Uva ursi ( holland and bar) is cheap enough- for limited days.

How long you take them for ? Until you feel better- your stomach tells you. So if this is the issue most vitamins will be wasted. Unless you have injections.

Hope this helps. If you need any info pls ask. ( sorry test is normally private and circa£ 200)

Can you please tell us what the aforementioned test is called? Can one do it at home ? I am very keen to get more info. Message privately if you feel that the giving of this information is against the rules of this forum . Thank you in advance !
