Can you get B12 injections with Folic Acid and Iron in them or is the only way to take them separately?
B12 injections with Folic Acid and Iron. - Pernicious Anaemi...
B12 injections with Folic Acid and Iron.
I don't think so Ryaan
You may well get all three together in a multivitamin tablet though.
No, you can't get a combination injection. It would be of limited use as most people can easily get the iron and folate they need via the oral route (either food or tablets). As too much iron or folate isn't a good idea these people wouldn't want the combination jab.
you can get combined B12 and folate in vials - but not sure of the sources- and it may be that they come in different vials in the same pack.
Never heard of iron also being included - and doubt IM/SQ would be a good way of delivering iron anyway - leaving aside the overdosing issue mentioned by fbirder
agree - better to stick with oral for folate and iron (if you need to supplement iron). Wouldn't recommend supplementing large quantities of iron unless under medical supervision because of the risk of overdosing - ditto with huge quantities of folate.
