Please help! I have had a week of Methylcobalamin injections but seem to be getting headaches (I never get heartaches in life generally!) and I am very 'spaced out' and quite dizzy. Now, as it happens, I was dizzy before starting the injections but this seems to be worse.
Should I switch to Hydroxobalamin injections? Is this worthwhile? I am always hearing that Methyl is the best to reverse nerve issues etc. of low b12. I don't want to stop the Methyl if these symptoms will pass and if it is the best to be taking!!
some people don't get on with methyl - not clear why.
Headaches are quite a common problem ... and the dizziness also seems to affect people - others find that they get really bad anxiety.
Would suggest that you try hydroxo and see how you get on with it.
Most people have absolutely no problems converting hydroxo to methyl. Some people find that methyl really does nothing for them.
Personally I have found that whilst methyl does help me a little with the amount of feeling I have in my foot and can help me to sleep a bit better it does nothing for my mood and psychiatric issues so have ended up using a mix of different B12s - though mix is via sprays rather than injections. I did find that I had headaches when I started using a methyl spray but that eventually went and for me they were more like ice-cream headaches - passing quite quickly.
