What kind of reaction?

I've got an allergy to sunlight / any UV light and need to wear sunscreen if going out doors. This reaction is hives and eczema.

I also get symptoms after the B12 jab if I have been too low on B12 before the injection. These are normal symptoms that seem "backwards".

I will get a soft stool about 6 hours after the injection. The softer the stool the lower I was on B12. This one I think arises because the metabolism kicks into high gear and results in excess water in the body which ends up in the gut. ( I think)

The B12 also is probably making the signals on my vagus nerve stronger, or some other nerve in the gut, which makes the bowel more active and moves things along faster.

Start a logbook of all your symptoms and assess a severity score (your own scale if fine). The symptoms that appear 3 to 48 hours after the jab are the ones that tell you that B12 is working and doing its job.

Pain and hunger are two that I get occasionally as well.

Once you can identify and sort these "good" symptoms out from all the rest, you can gain some control back and relax and not stress out about a new "issue" appearing.

In the end, you probably need more frequent injections to eliminate these symptoms.

Discuss this logbook method and treating by symptoms with your GP now in order to get past the "I've got a hypochondriac on my hands" stage that your GP will go through before giving you more frequent injections.

Nausea is a symptom from the damage to your vagus nerve to the stomach.

Dizziness is ear nerve.

Are you supplementing with folic acid, vit B1, vit B6 and a daily multivitamin? These are needed to support B12 and support nerve repair.

If you can convince yourself that these are "good" symptoms and stop the stressing out you might see that they disappear faster once you relax.

Stress makes everything seem worse. These symptoms are illusions from the stronger signals on the nerve and the brain takes about 48 hours to recalibrate. This recalibration seems to occur quicker if it thinks these are "good" symptoms.

The nausea also can arise from balance issues. It is all neurological symptoms.

Agreement with the need to make sure that the co-factors mentioned above are taken, I hope that the symptoms you have experienced soon are a thing of the past.

Unfortunately they do not completely go away and are a constant reminder to me to remain vigilant in my medications
