do b12 jabs still work properly if folate is below range

so what happens to the b12 if folate is low. Mine is just below range by .1 so doc wont prescribe folic acid

My endo said 5mg but doctor said no, not sure who is in charge here

Folic acid can be bought over the counter of any pharmacy probably cheaper than the charge for a prescription and it is also fortified in several breakfast cereals.

If you are unsure what strength to buy ask the pharmacist for his/her advice.

I asked but can only get 400 so would have to take 12 and wouldnt like to endure the fillers

For how long did the endo say that you needed to take 5mg? How far below range are you?

im just .1 below range, he just said short course, i see him again 27th May, also hypothyroid and low vit d

I'd just take a couple of 400mcg a day for a month or so they won't do you any harm.
