Hi folks. After a big heart attack I find that my iron levels have remained low and is not recovering, I am also getting B12 injections for pernicious anemia for several years. Could the tiredness and breathless and pins and needles in my hands be one of the previous or a thorid problem which I have not be checked for.

Could it be ChrisG2313 that you need more frequent injections of B12?

Also do you know what your Folate level is as this is essential to process the B12 you are having injected?

My Doctor has said my levels of B12 are OK ( which I am injected every three months) .Have a Cardiac check up on Friday and I will question it!

there is an overlap between thyroid symptoms and B12 symptoms so there is no way of knowing for certain what is causing what and it may even be a mix of the two.

What is the doctor doing about your low iron levels?
