What is a normal reading for B12 etc.?.There seem to be so many alternatives quoted on site.I have injections 2 mthly so now am at a loss as to when to ask for a blood test.2mthly helps but still tire quickly etc.Perhaps Gambit can help?

Hi Mrsannabbott I guess it depends which laboratory is used so you just have to be guided by the ranges <from - to> that are shown on the result.
If you want to address a question to a specific person on here type the symbol @ and immediately afterwards start typing the first few letters of their name at the same time looking to the bottom of the message to see the various options appear. When you see the name you name you want simply click on it and it will enter it into your message.
I have done this for Gambit62 and they will now be alerted to your question.

unfortunately these are ranges that apply to people before they have had treatment and the ranges after treatment aren't going to mean anything unless they continue to come back low.
you could also ask for MMA and/or homocysteine tests which might clarify if there is a functional deficiency going on - lots of B12 in your blood but not enough available at the cell level.
Might also help your case if you have kept a detailed diary of symptoms and when they returned.
Also possible that there is something else going on as well as the B12.
