Hello Lizzie20. Do you have a lab range for your test result?
Have you been offered an intravenous infusion of B12? If so, did your GP offer this, or a hospital consultant?
First treatment of B12 by injection or infusion should always be performed in the presence of trained medical staff, just in case of adverse reaction (rare).
I'm pretty sure that B12 isn't available by infusion (at least not in the UK). Are you sure they didn't mean an iron infusion for iron deficiency anaemia (different to Pernicious Anaemia - which is due to low B12).
As Hillwoman says, - whichever type it is, make sure it's done by a professional in a professional environment. An anaphylactic reaction can happen and it's best if somebody who knows how to treat it, and has the equipment to do so, is around. It's about 1 in 10,000 normally but, as an asthmatic, I would think your chances are slightly higher)
