Hi folks, have been lurking around for a couple of weeks reading and soaking up information. I started looking for reasons as to why I felt so totally rubbish. I was taking my folic acid which had been diagnosed as low several years ago together with iron a good multi vit and sub lingual b12. I still felt truly awful.

No energy restless legs easily out of breath reduced cognitive function etc etc... All pointing to b12 deficiency I haven't been to my GP for bloods yet just bit the bullet and ordered some im b12. Ordered cyno as it was the cheapest and I wasn't fully up to speed on the best one to get. I ordered 5 and ended up with 15 they sent a box of 5 and a separate box of 10.

I've given myself 2 shots so far and already feel so so much better.

This post is to say thanks for the absolute gold mine of information here. I wouldn't of known where to start without it.

Are you still supplementing the folic acid as you will need this to process the B12 mich50 ?

Yes I'm still taking the folic acid too. This evening instead of going to bed at 7 I actually went out for the evening. Haven't stayed out late but actually went out instead of looking for excuses to stay in.

Unfortunately, having started injections there will be little point in having your B12 levels tested as they will be sky-high for several months.

But, if self-injecting cyanocobalamin is working for you, I'd stick with that.

Hi folks, I'm still using the b12 im. Gave myself a bad shot and caught the nerve in my leg! So moved to sc for a couple but it isn't as effective for me so bit the bullet and shoved it in my leg. Trick is don't dither around just stick the needle in. Lol.

The question I would like answering is what folic acid/folate do people use? Currently taking 5mg which was previously prescribed by GP, it's what I have in the house, but would like to know if there's a better version to take? If I forget it for just one day start to go down hill very quickly.

Many thanks.

Happy new year to you all.
