What is a good way to get supplementary folate with malabsobition issues tables not much good. Any advice.

Folate is almost always well absorbed in tablets (absorption is much simpler than B12). There are also folate sublinguals available (with or without B12).

For the vast majority of the population folic acid tablets are the best. Tesco do a nice cheap one.

Folate is a fairly small, water soluble, molecule - so it doesn't get affected by the normal absorption problems. In that regard folic acid is better than methylfolate as it has a higher bioavailability (more of what you swallow gets into the blood).

A small minority might find they get better results from methylfolate - but it's more expensive and more difficult to get.
