I've never tried the first link but I have tried the second. They weren't hugely quick (I think they deliver from Gibralter), but the goods did show up.
I don't know the answer to your question. I can only assume it comes down to money. Also, websites use a domain address which makes their customers think they (the website) are based in whichever country the website owners want people to think they are in.
Lots of companies go to great lengths to disguise their origins.
If you really, really want to deal with a UK business then the only suggestion I have is that you use the yellow pages website yell.com and do a search for actual bricks and mortar shops in big cities in the UK that sell supplements.
You could look at their websites (if they have them), and look for what you want that way. The thing is that you will pay a lot more for your supplements, and you still can't guarantee that the shop will supply you with something they have in their shop - it might come from anywhere. And nor can you guarantee that they are any more honest than companies that supply Amazon or other businesses which are wholly online.
I use Superior Source brand of methyl sublinguals. The PA Admin on this forum recommended this brand also. They are called "no shot" sublinguals and come in 1000, 5000 and 10,000 mcgs. I get the 10,000 mcgs because I have to use a lot less.
I have gotten them from Amazon and also Swanson vitamins online.
I've used Swansons for years, good prices, quick delivery. Swansons is international, too.
I use a company called detoxpeople for my non-injectable B12 supplies - they offer a range of sublinguals - haven't used methyl as go for nasal sprays myself - not sure how they compare with others on price
Solgar make inferior methylcobalamin. But then it'll be dodgy wherever you get it from.
or...
If the company selling it on Amazon isn't Solgar - and they're counterfeit. But, if that were the case I doubt it would take very long for Solgar to realise this and come down on the criminals like several tons of bricks.
Indeed, it is much more likely that any counterfeits would be sold through small-scale bricks and mortar establishments, because Solgar would be less likely to know about it.
Thank-you to everyone for kindly replying with views and ideas and for all the interesting answers, that i will follow up, great forum, thanks for all your time too.
