For the last three mornings I have woke with a dry mouth tongue and gums .... really quite bad
Is this a symptom of PA that I've simply not had before or something else?
Any advice would be appreciated

i suffered with mouth ulcers and stinging lips and strange sensations on eating for months. after lots of steroids and mouthwashes and lots of b12 injections its a lot better. i still have dry mouth and my lip gets stuck to my teeth. I think its to do with b12 but my doctor doesn't. so am being sent to specialist to try and find out! lots of people seem to have those symptoms though!

I had a similar thing - every night while I read my book in bed (w my mouth closed) the inside of my lips would stick to my teeth and gums, and I'd have to drink water and run my tongue around my mouth to unstick them. They also tasted slightly metallic. It was odd and not a borderline thing, not like hmm, is something happening here? it was a very noticeable thing. It coincided w my lips swelling a few times, not like an allergy but in a perfect circle around my mouth almost like I'd been punched in the mouth.
The dentist said my gums weren't glossy like they should be and mentioned Sjogren's, but the specialist I saw at UCL said it was 'burning mouth syndrome' which I equate to CFS or similar, something they tell you when they don't know what it is to make you go away.
I was eventually diagnosed w lichen planus, but it appeared elsewhere, so I don't know if that is what affected my mouth as well.
I now self-inject b12, but I believe the sticky-lip thing went away before that.
I try to wash my mouth with listerine after brushing my teeth before going to bed. This is to kill as much bacteria as possible. I then use two methyl sublinguals when I go to bed.
If I don't do this I get red patches on my tongue when I'm low on B12 and due for my next injection.
Stress also uses up my b12 faster between injections and I get dry mouth frequently and sometimes the red patches on the tongue reappear the day before or the day of the injection. The dryness and patches disappear a few days after my injection.
The other factor that I feel contributes to my mouth problems is stomach acid. Mine is low and if I drink orange juice before heading to bed I tend not to get a dry mouth.
It is definitely connected to the deficiency.
I have been getting b12 injections for only 3 weeks and have experienced severely dry mouth 4-5 times since then. I don't know if it was before or after the injection. I did find it strange though because as a diabetic I took the dry mouth as a sign for having high blood sugar as it was always a tell tale symptom in the past. Immediately tested my blood sugar only to find my sugars normal the dry mouth left me puzzled. Only last a few hours though.
