Hi.. I have PA am self injecting every few weeks but have recently developed irritation in my eyes.. I think it’s dry eyes. I live in a hot country so have to use fans which is a pain but I wondered if it’s just another symptom of getting older (I’m 52) or if it’s linked to the PA ? Anyone got any ideas ? I take drops but it’s such a pain 😫

It would be worth seeing an optician as there could be many reasons for dry eyes and they’d be best placed to advise.

Yes I would get your eyes checked. Could be the fans and heat though. I had to start drops in the heatwave here and I had a fan on too. Since its cooled doen my eyes okay. My eyes are drier and I dont wear contact lenses anymore . It does happen with age. They aksi can water more when windy ect. No idea why. The Optician might know

I agree would see an optition to check everything out, I developed dry eyes a few weeks after being diagnosed and also a very dry mouth

I did notice that dryness decreased after I got my B12 levels where they needed to be - but since then I've developed hashimotos (auto-immune hpothyroidism) so it is back.

See optician and see what they say. If they can't see anything obvious then speak to GP as dry eye can be a symptom of a number of conditions.

Yep - I went to the optician and all was fine. Just an annoying side effect I think,
