Yes you can. I tested positive to antibodies to the Intrinsic factor but negative to gastric parietal antibodies.
I believe so. The test can be unreliable and give a false negative result.
Here's what the British Committee for Standards in Haematology say about anti-GPC antibody testing - bcshguidelines.com/document...
Gastric parietal cell antibodies (GPC antibodies) have a low specificity for the presence
of pernicious anaemia since, despite being positive in 80%
and
Anti-gastric parietal cell antibody testing for diagnosing pernicious
anaemia is not recommended (Grade 1A).
