Afternoon everyone, weather has been lovely this last week but I'm feeling awful. Got my leaky ear sorted out but its still a bit like a swamp so waitng for appointment at the ENT at the local hospital. The sun was heat treatment for my back which was great but my energy levels are zero. I'm due my B12 injection next week but I'm holding off as I've an appointment at the haematologist on Aug 1st at the local hospital so am waiting until afterwards my blood tests are done.
This morning I fell out of bed as my legs went on me and I felt like a zombie. As the morning went on I started feeling human again but with no energy. This Monday I'm seeing a consultant at Go bowen after 20+ yrs of suffering chronic back problems etc then Monday after I'm seeing consultant haematologist so busy couple of weeks for me.

I had back/spine pain which improved once I started taking B12.
Do you have any balance problems?
I have read that some people with b12 deficiency may develop "subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord" if they are B12 deficient. This happened to Martyn Hooper, the chair of the PAS.
I think there are mentions of this condition in Martyn Hooper's latest book
What You Need to Know About Pernicious Anaemia and Vitamin B12 Deficiency
and also "Could It Be B12" by Sally Pacholok
If you are a PAS member there is an article on "sub acute combined degeneration of the spinal cord" in the PAS library on website.
There are several ways in which B12 could cause back problems - one particular likely one is weakening of muscles - which could be through effect on nerve cells or could be effect on the process the body uses to release energy in cells.
My back muscles were particularly bad and I was having all sorts of problems before I got my B12 levels under control.
