Hi xjjx,

I found taking Jarrows b12 which is,methylcobalamin very effective. They were 5000mg. They were from Amazon. I felt the effects after a few days and each daybgot better. Hiwever, they started to wear off quickly, and I could feel the painful tingling return within 2 hours, ended up taking 10 a day! The thing is the longer you have been deficient, the longer it may take for them to work. I only started them in March this year but have just found out I had b12 deficiency in 2003, the doctor just didn't tell me! Despite complaining of the usual low b12 symptoms. Therefore, I have some irreversible neurological damage. I started to self inject about 5 weeks ago and while that is better, still find I need the lozenges at times. Maybe I need to inject daily not weekly!

Some people find different forms of b12 work better than others too. A case of trial and error I'm afraid. Other more knowledgeable members will be able to help you better with information on the reasons why despite taking high doses of b12, some people aren't getting it in their tissues. I don't really understand it but others will give you more detailed information. Good luck. :-)

It is very odd but the sublingual lozenges don t work for me either but the Boost methyl spray does. There does not seem to be a logical explanation why some things work for some people and not for others...you do have to experiment. You didn t say how long you have been taking them... it does sometimes take a few weeks and some people only improve with injections. Good luck.

Hi There same here for the lozenges but I have found the spray more effective. I spray four times a day and still feel rough between sprays. I don't know if I should spray more -how many sprays do you take?

I take 2 sprays 3 times daily First while I am having my morning bath, I concentrate the whole time on not swallowing for ten minutes .... this really seems to make a difference. The second dose in the middle of the day and 3rd dose before I go to bed at night. Don t have a drink or food for at least half an hour. This regime does seem to work for me or maybe I m just completely mad I know it does sound that way!

Best wishes.
