DIFFERENCES IN ALL OF US !
well, I just think that the medical profession does not take B12 deficiency seriously - and they are woefully under trained in the subject. AND they wont be told! I go with an armful of papers - totally ignored.

I think this GP - Dr Rangan Chatterjee - in the above link hits the nail on the head
Scroll down for the very short video of extracts from a Conference at which he spoke ....
What annoys me most above the doctors levels of ignorance is they wouldn't treat diabetics in the same manner. How would they cope with they're injections regulated to once every three months, it would be catastrophic yet because we look ok on the outside it belies how we actually feel.
To be fair, it's no surprise that doctors are au fait with diabetes, its symptoms and treatment. That's because there are around 4 million people with it in the UK.
Compare that to the number of people with PA in the UK - about 80,000 ( gponline.com/management-per... ) - and you can see why, with 50 times as many patients, doctors invest a lot more time in keeping up with diabetes.
Plus diabetics fall ill and die from insulin being withdrawn far quicker than PA patients die from having B12 shots stopped.
What are you doing about it - No good if you do not make a rumpus in the correct departments !
Raising a rumpus? This is an area where science and reason hold sway and we all try to stick to the facts backed up with evidence - from reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
We present the facts as best we can, talk to receptive people when the opportunities arise and try to refrain from smacking ignorant GPs in the face.
When that fails we treat ourselves or enlist the help of PAS.
And we give each other the emotional support we all desperately need when times are tough.
