Do you get your shots from the gp? If so, do you have neurological symptoms? If yes then your gp will only give you them every two months, three if no neurological symptoms! If you are doing it yourself then have them when you need them, it's not toxic, excess is excreted. You can take sublingual lozenges or b12 sprays in between. Sorry can't offer anything else! :-)

The gp. I have pins and needle and double vision  ,are they classed as neurological symptoms?

Yes! You can ask your gp for more frequent injections but I doubt they will, especially if they follow the guidelines. This is why many people on this forum buy there own. Look at the list of symptoms, basic and less common on the mother site.

My symptoms start returning within 24 hours - get most of my B12 through nasal sprays and it works really well for me - do top it up occasionally with injections rather than the other way round.

I got my GP to agree to fortnightly jabs, but I start feeling rough after 10 days. So I now self-inject weekly and feel much better for it.

Yes, the same happened to me. So now I self-inject,once a week, and feel well. If you would like to do that, come back here and we will help you to get what you need, Best wishes,

Hi xJJx

No two patients are the same and it's amazing how many of us on here "feel the need" for more frequent injections in the run up to the next one. I've had P.A. for 45 years and I'm still trying to get the hang of it :D

"Blood test showing pernicious anaemia still" That will always be the case I'm afraid. You have it for life! But you won't have the symptoms for life if you get the correct treatment. ---enough b12 and B9(folate) You are obviously not getting enough B12 .  If the doctor will not give them then you should self-inject. Come back here for advice if you have to decide on that.  Best wishes.
