Hi

I am using the high dose B12 patches it says on the packaging that they should stay on for 24hrs.My question is does it matter if I keep them on longer than 24hrs.

Many thanks in advance.

I usually keep mine on until they fall off. Probably not much longer than a day. Depends how good they adhere, where you have put it i would say.

It has only got so much b12 in it, you cant have any more than it is designed to give you.

I keep mine on - usually for a week before replacing them.

There is the point of not only getting the certain amount of b12 but having it stuck to your body for long periods of time can cause allergic reactions to the area. Eg redness, itching, rashes, blisters, spots but to name a few. I'd stick to the 24 hours cos your skin needs to breath. Hope that helps

The really bad allergic reactions are actually down to a bacteria that lives on the skin and reacts to B12 by producing a toxin. If you had bad acne in your younger days then that's a good indicator that you may have this problem. The thing to do is try it and see - if you have a reaction then stop using the patch.
