I don;t have the confidence to self-inject. I see Amazon are selling B12 patches. Does anyone know if these work as well as the injections?

I'm using Jarrow 5000 mcg methylcobalamin pills, it's been a life changer!

I use them.

Found one which works best for me.

First started with 2 a week then down to one. Used on neck as advised but gave me a headache, so now on upper arm. Placebo maybe lol, but it takes away my pins and needles! So thats good in my book.

Downside is probably cost, approx £2 per patch.

Will pm you details

I use 3 a week - its the only thing keeping me functional. Works for me, but doesn't work for everyone. I get mine from amazon too. Good luck.

Thank you. I will try them - but not until after my next blood test because if the patches work I will be told I don't need any more injections at the surgery! I WISH docs would take fatigue seriously - they don't seem to care how much it ruins the quality of life

I tried patches, but I'm afraid that they didn't help at all. Only injections work for me. So I grasped the nettle ,and drank a large gin and tonic, and injected. More than a year later, it's just routine, and I don't turn a hair. (and I don't need the G&T anymore!)

Thank you. I already have to inject for my diabetes but not so confident with this as its a different method!

If I were you I would certainly try the patches. It they don't work for you ,come back to this site and you will get lots of help. It is amazing how different we P.A. patients are! I feel that the injections have saved me!
