Hi

Can you administer hydroxocobalmin subq as it does say you should give it intramuscular.

We are going away in our motor home for 2mnths and my injection falls in that time. I managed to persuade my GP to give me the ampoule to take with me.He needed a it of persuading!

Now I have got to sort the best and easiest way to do it.

yes - can administer B12 subq. It probably isn't quite as efficient as intramuscular but the main part of the difference in amount absorbed generally doesn't last very long so levels and time for it to disappear are pretty much the same

Injecting intramusculer is easy, like subcut. You will need a longer needle and stretch the skin rather than squeeze, so you go through the fat to hit the muscle .
