Hi, I've recently started getting a vibrating sensation in my groin area. It almost feels like my phone is in my pocket and vibrating. Does anyone else get this??
I have PA and RA.

Hi.
I've had that happen quite a lot. I think my phones gone off in my pocket, then I realise my phone is somewhere else! I'd never put it down yo b12 before. But its interesting that I'm not the only person this happens to.
I seems you are not alone, I have at times the same sensation in my leg as if my mobile phone is vibrating when I did a little research I found it was related to B12 deficiency.
I have this too. I think my doctor would laugh if I told him.
I get this too.
I've had this in the past. It went away, but I never knew what caused it.
I've had it in very strange places. I did go to the docs with it and she looked at me weirdly. So I just put it down to another of the joys of having dodgy B12.
I've had the same exact sensation and I too thought it was my cell phone. How funny. It comes and goes but isn't very frequent. I have PA.
I have nerve surges and tingles etc in every part of my body and in the groin area. I put it all down to the same thing. Getting treatment right with b12 etc.
I have this as well. My doctor started me on Cyano shots. I heard that Methyl is better for nerve issues. I now take a combo of Cyano shots and Methyl sublinguals. It seems to help a bit.
Hi NJMommy,
I receive cyano 1000meq IM monthly (I'm in U.S.) and have been thinking about supplementing with methyl sublingual. I also have the mystery vibrations in groin, but that is not the main reason I'd like to try. Would you mind, please, telling me the dosage and frequency you use of sublingual and how you arrived at your decision? Also, do you purchase online?
Thanks a lot,
Leilani
Hi Leilani,
I'm in the U.S. as well. I suffered severe subacute spinal cord degeneration due to my PA. I was very sick for a while. My hemo said that Cyano injections were best because Cyano is synthetic and the longest acting b12. My other symptoms were helped with the shots, but my many neuro symptoms weren't getting much better. I did a lot of research, and there were a lot of great people on this site that were praising methyl. It's supposedly the better form of b12 for neuro issues, it's natural, and lasts longer than hydroxo. I know that meds produced in Europe are watched just as closely as they are here, but still had worries about ordering injectables from so far away. Vitamin Shoppe, Rite Aide, and Walgreens all have sublingual b12. I buy the 1000mcg quick dissolve buttons and supplement about 2-3 times a week. I also take folic acid.
My neurologist said it could take up to 2 years to see the fullest extent of the healing from the spinal cord damage, and up to 3-4 for the brain damage, if at all. Good luck, and I hope you feel better!!
Re: "Cyano is synthetic and the longest acting b12. ", no hydroxocobalamin is suposed to be longer lasting; up to 2 to 3 times. Re: "methyl. It's supposedly the better form of b12 for neuro issues, it's natural, and lasts longer than hydroxo.", methylcobalamin is one of the 2 natural forms of B12 formed by the body, it is the least stable and shortest lasting. It is recommended for (diabetic) neuropathy.
Thanks for the correction. I'm concerned now because my doctor told me the opposite. I've been thinking about changing my provider, your input just sealed the deal.
I have had this sensation in my thighs and buttocks area. It was after exercise
Yes! It begins and ends randomly, lasts maybe 2-3 minutes. A fine vibration confined to small area of groin, probably more often on right. Thanks for posting and to those who responded.
I get this too. I also get in in my back, close to my spine.
I get this from time to time, lasts quite a while then goes. I mentioned it to my GP once and he shrugged it off.
I get this in my whole body, it feels like a earthquake. It usually starts in my mid back and spreads out. When I was in high school it was in my legs, it would actually feel like I was levitating! Lately when I put my hand on my leg during the tremors I can feel a fine pulsing, but no one else can.
Hi! Pleeeeaasse tell me if you figured out what this was. It is so freaking weird. It's happening to me. Please if you can, write me an email aew1301@gmail.com
I actually have just started having this did you ever find out what it was it's the weirdest feeling
I just had this happen a few weeks ago. I tried b12, vitamin D which helped a little. It seemed to get worse at night and I wasn't able to sleep. Then I took my Fitbit off, within a day it was gone. I have no idea why, I do know some people have stronger electromagnetic fields, I have no idea if this was the case, I just know it's gone. Hope this may help someone.
Yes i have gotten the dang vibration, almost scared me thinking maybe dr left his pager inside me on my last surgery. It is so strange. What is it
B12? So too much B12 vitamin or need more. I occasionally take a B12 for dehydration or if I drank too much (hangover). I took one yesterday ...you know how the holidays are sometime, and I've had this vibration on my right side pubic area.
I recently started getting that same vibration in my pelvic area.. It comes and goes often.. I really would like to know what it is. It worries me all the time. I will be 60 I never experienced anything like this before.
Just started experiencing this 2 days ago. I have suffered from restless legs and vitamin B deficiency in the past. Restless legs have been more frequent of late.
The sensation is really weird.
Have you looked into or ur Dr asked you about may Thurner syndrome
I wish I had that, I'm numb from my c- section insision cite down. I know it is b12 related. I missed a shot and got it 2 weeks later. Could you possibly need more b12?
