How long you should wait after the injections to do active b12 test and maybe some other test (MMA, IF, homocysteine).

I believe you should wait at least 3 and preferably 6 months with no supplementation to ensure that all of the B12 you have in your system has gone if you want to get a base line. However, I know I couldn't do that.

When it comes to the urinary MMA I would write to these people b12.com and ask them.

If you have to wait a while, I'd ask them why?

Actually the case study page on that site is really interesting. Look at how many people have serious physical injuries by the time they are diagnosed - and they aren't having to beg for injections more frequently than every 3 months. They actually get their injuries acknowledged! And of the 4 cases histories down the bottom, none showed a raised MCV and only one had mild anaemia.
