I have P.A. My neurological symptoms are getting worse recently. Would an ActiveB12 test show if I need injections more often than 2mths?

Or is it only any good to actually diagnose P.A.? which I already know I have.

Hi Treacletart,

The Active B12 test can diagnose a B12 deficiency (at tissue level) with a "normal" serum B12 result, falling in the so called grey area which is say anything under 400 pmol. It does not actually give a diagnosis of PA, only a possible diagnosis of a B12 deficiency at tissue level.

See these case studies:

And explanation of the Active B12 test:

I hope this explains it for you,

Kind regards,

Marre.
