I guess I can add a new PD sign. I had colonoscopy at age 50 and again at age 60. Both times it showed internal hemos. But since the last colonoscopy they've moved. Now they're external and the itch is maddening. I have to drive 5 hours today to a medical conference required to keep my license current. I hope I can resist scratching, especially since it may be difficult for anyone to shake my hand if I'm seen scratching myself. Does hemorrhoid cream do anything? What about tramadol? It's a narcotic so it worsens constipation but it might be worth it to get through the 3-day conference? Please, no puns or bad jokes, I've heard them all.

The only help I personally have had with relief from haemorrhoids is from a mild steroid cream, prep H does very little for me. I don’t have constipation now due to eating lots of fruits, veg, lentils etc and milled flaxseeds. Another help was fibre gel - bit more gentle than other laxatives. I don’t have PD, it I know it can be horrendous for some PWP, but pregnancy left me with the condition and I try to manage it.
My husband who has Parkinson’s doesn’t suffer with constipation, but I do fill him up with fruits, veg and milled flaxseeds and oats to name a few things. Maybe this helps him too but we can only try.

Do you eat TOMATOES? For some reason, consuming tomatoes or tomato-containing products usually result in a bad case of hemorhoids for me. I suspected the link, but confirmed it when I took a flight to Bangkok and drank several Bloody Marys on the way resulting in the worst case of rhoids I ever had. Since I quit eating tomatoes I've been virtually rhoid-free. BTW......I've had PD for 11 yrs, but not aware of any link, Any idea why tomatoes would do this?
I've been using Tramadol for 4 years to treat chronic nerve pain after a failed back surgery. It's worked for that, but I don't know if it will help you with your issues. If you have some already go ahead and try it, but do so as a test at home. Normal dosage is 50 mg.
Hydrocortizone cream / suppositories for no longer than 10 days, fruits or juices or lots of water , no stress and especially wet wipes. After using the wipes I did not need suppositories and I did not have any more issue.
Thanks for the replies. The conference went okay, It snowed all day. On the drive I counted five semis jack-knifed and pushed off the interstate into roadside ice and mud. First morning I smeared cortisone cream on. It stopped the itch for 3.5 hours. Then like a switch going off, suddenly I was doing a seated dance trying for relief. Then remembered I had tramadol. Two pills did the trick. For the second day I used to cortisone again and same thing happened; 3.5 hours relief then back to itchiness and needed more tramadol. For the drive home it wasn't snowing but constant 65mph wind whipsawing across the interstate. Saw two semis pushed off the road, up to their axles in frozen mud.
