Lately we have been hearing some conflicting news on vitamin D3. This is a good article that one can follow recommendations.

Thanks Parkie, I havent managed to check out his references yet which I like to do with Mercola because alot of what he writes is his opinion, selling supplements is his business.

Good article but I was surprised that it didn't mention that when it comes to taking vitamin D (according to some sources) it's important that you take magnesium and vitamin D together and not just vitamin d alone, especially in large doses as this can lead to what people believe are vitamin d side effects, but are really just magnesium deficiency symptoms that have been induced because of how vitamin D 'uses up' magnesium in its conversion to its 'active form' in the bloodstream.

PD patients taking high doses of D, especially those having issues with insomnia and constipation, should probably increase intake of Mg because the above issues can be symptoms of Mg deficiency.
