Interesting article. Thank you for posting it. I use to take Fish Oil to reduce my triglycerides. Maybe it is time to take them again.

That's a tough one , I have dealt with hallucinations , major personality changes, paranoia, loss of memory. There was that time a upped my Dopamine and the world changed ,specially lights, into a psychedelic wonderland.

That last part sounds like fun. The rest not so much.

Were you by any chance taking a dopamine agonist when you had the paranoia and personality changes?

Yes, but I am taking the same meds now. It seems that the Parkie bug attacked my lymbic system. On top of missing a few Dopamine producing cells I am missing some serotonin producing cells also. I was under a state of over anxiety even just sitting watching TV. I was even confined to the back seat with other drivers because I was almost jumping out of my skin in the passenger seat. I am much more relaxed now with 200mg/day of Zoloft. Picture a very shaky Chahwahwa .

Unfortunately it is much harder on your loved ones but you think you are normal.. ..

It wasn't until I started to get mad at everybody for not understanding me when it occurred to me I didn't understand myself. Why was I mad at them for not realizing what I am going through when I didn't. That is when I talked to my PD Doctor and told her I was loosing my filters.

i'm confused about your health status, are you a diagnosed "schizophrenic" or just a pd person with complicated reactions?

YES no just kidding. There are many neurotransmitters in the brain. Our computer. Dopamine and Serotonin are biggies I lacked both. Or that is what I have decided was/is my problem. I am very scatterbrained at the moment but I am more than happy to live that way.

well, I think i'm more reassured, than concerned after viewing this, tks, no olfactory problems, I even have sharp sense of smell. no constipation or trouble sleeping but I have noticed my heart is different, I hiccup whereas I never hiccuped before, I suck in air, autonomicaly, something I never did before and find strange/suspect, as if that autonomic function was momentarily failing me. I sleep with radio on, so I can drone out any distraction, my memory, believe it or not is better, which is a surprise to me and I am almost always anxious, given my reality. (just today I decided I live in a paleo-society, i'm literally allergic to my public as I call them. aaugh.) i'm not depressed, i'm more at oppressed and foolishly courageous in the face of oppression.

do I have pd, by you?

very long article....how about a synopsis?

I have a quarrel with definition of schizophrenia.........he's describing true schizophrenia, but they call all mental illness schizophrenia.

and, like any brain disorder, it's physical malfunction, not caused by your uncle taking advantage of you when you were a child.....more likely it was caused by malnutrition, or heavy metal contamination. my opinion only.
