Ive been reading Ailments through the ages.

In January 1861 Charles Dickens was struck down with tic douloureux trigeminal neuralgia 🤔it stayed with him until death, at the time no cure, things haven't changed much since then.

Thank goodness now we have acupoint pen.

I'm writing a Dickens modernisation (as a timekiller cos mostly housebound with pain, not as a writer sadly!) and read a health biography of him and his characters called Bleak Health that I'd recommend if interested!

He found it very hard to keep writing when he couldn't wander around the city looking for inspo anymore which I totally relate to :')
