I'm trying to see if anyone has had a similar experience which can maybe lend an insight onto our next steps
At the beginning of the year my partner started experiencing pain in his right arm which has gradually become severe and constant, spreading to his left arm as well.
He has had MRI, blood tests, nerve conduction tests and all are coming back showing no concern or no action needed.
9 months later we are no closer to understanding what is wrong and it appears to be getting worse each week in terms of pain severity. He has limited range of movement in his arms and now struggles with daily tasks such as picking up the kettle due to weakness.
There has also been mention of some leg pain however this is not as consistent yet.
They have checked for inflammation and are saying there is also no concern with this.
If anyone has any experience ricne with this type of pain please could you let me know

I would ask two things, one when you mention about 'no action needed' I suggest your partner be a little wary of this statement. My father was told the same thing until sometime later he was almost unable to use his arms and it was affecting his legs quite badly. He ended up seeing a specialist and they discovered, I'm sorry I cannot remember the actual name, but the channel in the vertebrae that the spinal cord runs down was too small and as he was getting older some deposits had built up and were pushing on the spinal cord in various places but mainly in neck. So it might be a good idea to have them explain their statement fully. Second has he seen a specialist? If not push for him to see one or get a second opinion. Please don't accept no for an answer. I hope this helps in someway. I hope they find out what is going on and are able to fix it.
Sounds to me like complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), which I have, though only in one knee. If you're in the UK you should certainly be in contact with your local NHS pain management service. It's not an easy condition to deal with but there are many resources on-line. One I found particularly helpful was tmswiki.org/forum/
Thanks for the responses, he has seen a specialist and they said there's nothing too concerning. They checked his spine and said while there is some ageing, it's not enough to cause this type of pain.
I've checked for pain management clinic and looks like there's one round here which we didn't know about so will look into that
Private isn't an option due to cost I'm afraid otherwise I'd do it in a second
Hello my wife has all that pain in same areas, nothing came back with blood tests, going back and forward to the doctors, one of the doctors sent her to see a rhematiod specialist, and pointed out she definitly had rhematiod arthrius but it was sero R/A which doesnt show up in blood tests but being expert in that she could see what it was hope this helps
