My last option was carried out yesterday, I had bilateral lumbar facet blocks on three levels.
my pain has flared in my left leg, I’m due back at work day after tomorrow and I’m so scared to as I don’t know how my back will react. As of right now my back becomes very painful with sitting, standing. Is this normal?

I had ablation(burned) on my nerves L3 to s1 (I think it was) you have to rest really for 48 hours, I felt like I’d been kicked!!! But try to give your body time..it’s been “tampered” with its natural flow give it time to settle. And fingers crossed you will be ok. X
Also I found lying flat helped me, with what I had done.
thank you so much Deb. Laying down is my only comfortable(ish) position. My back actually feels worse today. I just pray that the injections kick in soon and the pain eases. X
thank you Deb. I had a very brief instance of bending with minimal pain but now my right side and right leg feel painful which is new. Just a waiting game I guess. X
thought I’d give you an update. I ended up going to the doctors as the pain was spreading and i woke up one morning and couldn’t keep my head up. The doctor had an ambulance take me straight to A&E and it turned out I had Discitis. Was in for a week then home with a course of antibiotics. I’m in my 4th week of being off work and I’m struggling a lot to be up and about still. Just my luck to get something that is usually RARE.
thank you Deb. It’s an infection in the intervertebral disc space. Sounds like I had it mild or caught it quick because I have seen people have to be on antibiotics for 6 weeks onwards.
I’m hoping I have had my fair share now 🙄. I really hope you are doing well! X
