Help! my bridge has fallen out.

Hi everyone, I need advice on what to do because my bridge has fallen out of my mouth. I went to my dentist as an emergency because I was in pain and my face felt as though it had dropped, luckily it hadn't but it felt like that. My dentist told me that I can't have it cemented back in because it will fall out again because there is no tooth left to connect it to. I don't know why he said this because I have teeth either side of where my bridge came out, I have a protruding root which I thought was my tooth but that is all. He has advised me to have a crown on my back tooth to build my tooth back up for a denture. This I DO NOT WANT! all I want is my bridge put back in, I don't mind having a new one and paying the cost of it but my dentist just will not do it. He told me I need to go private and that he knows someone that will do it but it wasn't for a bridge it was for implants, HOW THE HECK CAN I AFFORD IMPLANTS? Could anyone please advice me what to do next? I am at present seeking another dentist for a second opinion. Thank you in advance.

I think the only thing you can do is seek the second opinion if he won’t do it and the cost of implants is out of the question, you can’t make him do the work if he won’t do it. The cost of dental work is ridiculous even on the NHS. Just see what another dentist has to say but there must be something they can do without going private, good luck !!

Thank you for your reply, I have cancelled all my appointments with my dentist because luckily for me I have managed to get another dentist who is 5 minutes away from where I live and they do private treatment too if needed on finance. I am going as an NHS patient, I phoned at the right time because the month before they were not taking any new patients on.
