Not me. Have you seen your GP

Yes, but so far no real help. I had an injury but the GP says I "should" be recovered by now. How are you doing?

Injuries don't always heel at the same speed. They don't read the manual.

Obviously I don't know what caused the initial pain and treatment but maybe you need longer

The initial pain I THINK was related to an injury. I mean, I know the pain was at first and I think the continuation is also. Really I have not been offered any real treatment at all!

OK if you want to be vague about the injury. Broken ribs for ecample aren't treated these days due to creating breathinf restrictions so just strong pain meds and rest. This is just an example that not all injuries are suitable for treatment.

I can't offer any help or advice unless you are going to give a few more details. This site is confidential

You did the right thing by going to see your doctor. These things can take time. How long is it since you had the accident?

Have you tried different underwear, see if that makes it more comfortable.

Certainly keep an eye on it and see the doctor again if it doesn't get better.

For your peace of mind it maybe worth asking for a second opinion. Essentially it you are still in pain after months have past.

Obviously check you are not passing any blood urine or sperm. If that is the case go see your doctor straight away or go to hospital if necessary.

Tourk thank you for your advice! Yes different kinds of support can make them somewhat more comfortable. Have you suffered with this also?

I've got a tumour type thing growing on one of my testicles, it's about the size of a fist now.Not that painful most of the time, but when it's going through a growing stage its very uncomfortable.

I did go to hospital when I first noticed a lump, they said not to worry that was 7 or 8years ago.

I've got a spinal injury so that tends to rule over other pains. I find it hard to go see the doctor so haven't worried about it. I keep an eye out for blood in my urine.

How long have you suffered pain

I suffered from that but was due to an inguinal hernia and once that was fixed pain disappeared.

Has your doctor checked to see if you have a hernia?

A long shot but worth mentioning.

Thank you! I am going in again, I will ask about that!

How is your back? Sometimes a pinched nerve in the lower spine can make it feel like your balls are aching.

Good point! Actually in my case it feels like the pain goes the other way. When my testicles ache (like today!) the pain radiates to other body parts from them. Do you have testicle pain too?

Im glad to see that us males on here can talk openly about our ball's. Mine ache when i get infection's down my tube because of diabetes. Feels like someone's squeezing them on and off 😫

in reply toJoe_D

No I don't have testicle pain but I have had instances that I mentioned where nerves in my lower back were being squeezed and it made it feel like my balls were hurting.

Yes I have for years. I've seen a few Urologists. My last says it's epiditmytis, however you spell it. I've been on different antibiotics and Celebrex. Nothing seems to help. I've had a couple scrotal ultrasounds. They show a cyst and slight hernia. I had the hernia fixed hoping that would do it. It didn't. The doc tells me the cyst is nothing to worry about and isn't causing the pain.

I guess I don't have any advice. Just that you aren't alone.

I have had recurring testicle pain for more than one year and have seen several specialists and the only concludion is that it may result from scar tissue from a spine surgery that is impinging a nerve. The pain is intermittent but it hurts and is not fun. I have had a lysys of adhesion procedure for this and got some releif. Am taking Celebrex and Pregabalin which also help. Am now seeing a pelvic pain physical therapist and getting some positive results. I may get another lysis of adhesion procedure to further break up scar tissue - but scar tissue comes back. You might want to check to see if you have scar tissue from your injury that is pinching a nerve.

Hiker, THANK YOU for this! I will read up on lysys for adhesions. Due to the way my injury happened, I am sure there is scar tissue in there - I can feel it and it shows up on ultrasound imaging. I am very glad to hear you are getting some relief! I couldn't agree with you more that pain here is NO FUN. Some days mine feel like they are being squeezed. I hope you continue to improve.

similar to you I had an injury that caused testicular problems in both though the injury was only in one initially. That was my freshman year in college and since it does flare sometimes. I asked my rheumatologist and she said that’s normal. So just another “pain” to deal with. At this point o guess it doesn’t matter as the list of painful issues is long…lol. In all seriousness though I believe it’s normal as long as it’s not significantly worse than the first injury.

My injury was to both . . . May I ask what your injury was and for how long it has affected you?

I attended West Point and had regular PE classes similar to what most experienced in high school in addition to our normal curriculum. The first semester that consisted of self-defense where we would practice our technique on each other. As my opponent took me down my groin smacked with precision on his upturned knee. The injury was bad enough the officer running the class called the ambulance and I spent 4 days in the hospital with epididymis as we were not allowed to convalesce in our room. Now, not on any regular schedule it seem, I’ll have pain about 2 weeks out of every month. It’s not near as bad as the initial but still uncomfortable and apparently normal according to the literature: mayoclinic.org/diseases-con...

Hope this helps and my best to you!
