I fractured my thumb just over 8 weeks ago, I was hospitalised for 19 days for the fractured skull I sustained at the time. After becoming conscious after 3 days I complained of the pain and gross swelling of my right hand, though was completely ignored. I was further ignored when I phoned my GP for four weeks once I got home, I did get an x-ray and then a phone call to say I had an appointment with a trauma orthopaedics surgeon seven weeks after the break. Then another appointment on the eight week anniversary of the break due to over a foot of snow I phoned and asked to be seen a few days later. No such luck, though was asked if I'd like physiotherapy on my broken bones. I just can't believe the incompetence of the NHS in Wales. I'm still in pain every day from my skull fracture, my rib fractures , my grade 4/5 ruptured spleen, all of which are ignored.

shocking treatment to put it mildly.
Hello jointpain, The treatment that you have received or not is diabolical, but it doesn't surprise me the NHS are a complete waste of time, they are supposed to be the caring profession, I have had the same non treatment and I am now disabled because of them, they have ruined my life completely and got away with it. I hope you get better and take care. xx
