I have had spinal problems for a number of years but since my hip replacement in 2018 left me with shorter leg i have ended up with pain in my left lower spinal area radiating into buttock and hip. Saw surgeon who did my hip and he said my old hip was no worse on xray than in 2018 but my lower spine showed worsening wear and tear.Really bad flare up after caring for my husband during his final days affecting my sleep and aggravated by sitting standing and walking at times. Anyone had any success with settling this aa not sure back execises will help ? Have appt with nhs moving well service Feb.

Thanks

Catherine

Has anyone addressed the leg length issue? Podiatrists could help with that. If you can get your spine in balance again through lifts in the appropriate shoe, that might be a good start.
