This isn’t the right community to talk to about my problem but I really don’t know how to chat generally on this website. Anyway the problem is my nephew who is 12 has woken up testing positive to covid 🥺. He’s got asthma and is such a softy at heart it’s so upsetting knowing he’s stuck upstairs😩. Many people here had youngsters in the family who have it too?

Yes it must be worrying but at his age it is highly likely he won’t be significantly affected. Also having asthma shouldn’t be a problem. Initially there were concerns that asthma could be seriously detrimental to Covid but that hasn’t been the reality.Make sure if he is feeling ok that he has plenty to occupy himself upstairs. iPads can be useful in these circumstances. Books and so on.

If he is feeling unwell then lots to drink and if able to eat then I would say let him have anything he fancies.

Hopefully will only be a few days - can retest after 5 days before he is running around again.

Ps try posting on HealthUnlocked asthma uk site for more support.
