As well as having LCWRA, I am a full time Carer for my Son who has started a new Job. I need advice on how his job would affect what I'm receiving, even though his money will be his own with plans to save so that in the future when he can, he can move out.
Thanks in advance

Don’t know if linked site re benefits advice. These sites are about different health conditions and giving support to each other.I would have thought CAB could give you helpful information….
Just looked up on gov.uk site at carers allowance and information there. It doesn’t appear any relation to job but more about benefits your son is on.
However I think you should get advice because his job payments might affect your other benefits because living in the same house and related …. Am not a benefits expert but know if husband and wife or living together with some this can effect benefits. No idea if same could apply to mother and child 🤷♀️
This is why you need specialist advice. Like I say CAB could help. Also try Google search. I just have and found lots of information but don’t know your personal circumstances.
There is a site with excellent guides for benefit information. It is called benefits and work and has been going for many years, I am a moderator on it.
You would need to inform the DWP of any changes. Also you must still be caring for your son for 35 hours a week to claim carer's allowance. Best to phone and check with them, as if left for any length of time, it can be costly.
I'll have a look for benefits & work, thank you. I've searched Google with no answer to my question. I will most definitely still be caring for him at least 6 hours a day mon-fri and weekends. I've messaged CAB too as they're not doing face to face. He only started last week, it came around rather quickly. I just hope it doesnt affect me too much.
You can still access the site and if you need full access it is well worth the money for the information that is available and every month there is a discount available so you only pay £15 for a year. The information on the site is written by experts and helped me immensely over the years with all my claims, appeals and Tribunals.
